Which package should I download?

Choose by operating system and CPU architecture: Windows x86_64/ARM64, macOS Intel/Apple Silicon, Linux x86_64/ARM64, Ubuntu server x86_64/ARM64, or Android APK.

What are API host and edge host?

API is the HTTPS control plane. Edge is the UDP discovery service. Lab installs may run both on one machine; hardened installs should separate them.

What does 401 mean?

The join secret may be wrong, the membership may have been removed, or the device may need to rejoin the network.

What does 429 mean?

Rate limiting is active. Wait briefly and retry; installers handle this as a cooldown.

Is wintun.dll required on Windows?

Yes. The official amd64 or ARM64 wintun.dll must be beside the Windows client binary in the package.

How do I fix macOS Operation not permitted?

The package may be quarantined. Run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine . inside the package directory and retry.

Linux got a virtual IP but cannot be reached.

Check service status, /dev/net/tun, the route table, and local firewall rules. The doctor output is the best first diagnostic.

Ping works but the service does not.

The target service may not be listening or the OS firewall may block it. Test real services such as RDP, SSH, or HTTP separately.

LAN games do not appear.

Network broadcast mode should be all, and game/device firewall rules must allow LAN discovery traffic.
