Acceptance and scope

By downloading, installing, or using VeloraMesh packages, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the software.

  • v1.0.0-rc1 is a controlled field release.
  • The product is designed around a self-hosted control plane.
  • This page does not replace the source license or any commercial agreement; EULA and license notices distributed with packages also apply.

Authorized use

VeloraMesh must be used only with devices and networks you own, administer, or have explicit permission to access.

  • It must not be used for unauthorized access, scanning, attacks, data exfiltration, or service disruption.
  • You are responsible for the join secrets and installer packages you share with network members.
  • For gaming, RDP, file transfer, and personal infrastructure access, you must follow the rules of the relevant platforms and services.

Security and operations

VeloraMesh is designed to provide secure defaults, but no network software can remove every operational risk by itself.

  • Server, TLS, firewall, OS updates, and access controls must be configured correctly in your environment.
  • Join secret rotation, device removal/blocking, and log review should be performed regularly.
  • Independent security review and field testing are recommended for critical production use.

Warranty boundary

VeloraMesh RC packages are provided as is. There is no guarantee that the product will be uninterrupted, error-free, or successful under every NAT and network condition.

  • ISP, CGNAT, firewall, mobile network, operating system, and device driver behavior can affect connectivity.
  • Liability is limited for data loss, service interruption, misconfiguration, or third-party system behavior.
  • For critical workloads, keep a backup connection, alternate access method, and rollback plan.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, VeloraMesh developers, distributors, and contributors are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, data loss, business interruption, or consequences of unauthorized use.

  • This limitation does not mean security is treated lightly; the product is built with a secure and minimal design goal.
  • The goal is not to scare users, but to keep RC and self-hosted network software responsibilities explicit.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the product matures. The current package, documentation, and website text should be treated as authoritative for that release.

  • Security model, install flow, and supported platforms may change by release.
  • Check release notes and checksum files for new versions.
